The seat model is the whole story
Walnut is the only tool in this category that separates editor seats from presenter seats. Ignite gives you three of each; Accelerate gives you six. That design makes sense in exactly one situation: an organisation with a demo-engineering function that builds demos, and a sales team that presents what gets built.
If that describes you, the model is well thought out and the price reflects a product built for it. If your product marketer also presents to customers, you are paying for a distinction your team does not make.
The add-on trap on Ignite
White-labelling and SSO/SCIM are listed as paid add-ons on Ignite and included from Accelerate. The add-on prices are not published, which means the real cost of Ignite plus the two things most teams need is not a number you can read off the page.
It is worth asking for both add-on prices in the same email as the plan quote, and then comparing that total against Accelerate rather than comparing plan to plan.
What a real team pays
| Situation | Plan | Annual cost |
|---|---|---|
| 3 builders, no white-label, no SSO | Ignite | $6,900/yr |
| 3 builders, with white-label and SSO | Ignite + add-ons | $6,900/yr + unpublished add-ons |
| 4–6 builders | Accelerate | $18,600/yr |
| Needs a demo API | Scale | Custom |
Who Walnut is for
Large sales organisations running tailored demos per segment, with a person or team whose job is building them, and a security review that requires SCIM provisioning. For that company, Walnut is built for the problem and the price is a rounding error against the sales headcount it supports.
Below about twenty sales people, Walnut is buying orchestration you will not switch on.
How Peutly compares
Disclosure: we compete with Walnut. Peutly Pro is $360 a month on annual billing with unlimited users, which is about 61% of Walnut's entry tier while including everyone rather than three editors. We do not have SCIM, an API, presenter-specific tooling or Walnut's enterprise track record, and for a buyer who needs those, none of the price difference matters.
