Both are good. Here is when each one wins.
Walnut is built for enterprise sales organisations, and it is priced like it: $575 a month for three editors, $1,550 for six. If you run a twenty-person sales team with a demo-engineering function, that number buys something real. If you are a growing SaaS company that wants clickable demos on your site and in your deals, it buys a lot of machinery you will not switch on.
Walnut pricing, as Walnut publishes it
Every figure below is copied from their own pricing page, last read on 22 September 2026. Where they publish no number, we say so instead of estimating one.
| Plan | Monthly | Seats and what is included |
|---|---|---|
| Ignite | Not published | 3 editor seats, 3 presenter seats Walnut publishes annual billing only; no monthly price is listed on any tier. Unlimited demos, 50,000 AI credits a year. White-labelling and SSO/SCIM are paid add-ons here, at prices that are not published. |
| Accelerate | Not published | 6 editor seats, 6 presenter seats Marked "most popular". White-labelling and SSO/SCIM included, advanced analytics and InsightsAI, 100,000 AI credits a year. |
| Scale | Not published | Custom Everything in Accelerate plus the Demos API/MCP, 200,000 AI credits a year. |
The seat maths. Walnut counts editors and presenters separately: three of each on Ignite, six of each on Accelerate. Peutly counts neither. Everyone in a Peutly workspace can build a demo and everyone can send one, on every plan, and the annual price of Peutly Pro at $360 a month is under two thirds of Walnut’s entry tier.
What each price buys. Peutly captures the real DOM on every plan, from $175 a month, so the demo is your actual interface and stays editable afterwards. At Walnut that starts on Ignite, at $575/mo, billed annually. Their cheaper tiers capture screenshots or video, which is a different product at a different price.

Where Peutly wins
A quarter of the price at the entry tier
Walnut Ignite is $575 a month billed annually, for three editors. Peutly Starter is $140 a month on annual billing, for everyone. Even Peutly Pro, at $360 annual with analytics, custom domain, password protection and webhooks, lands well under Walnut’s cheapest plan.
No split between who can build and who can present
Walnut allocates editor seats and presenter seats separately, three of each on Ignite. That is a sensible model for a large sales org with a demo-engineering team, and an administrative tax on a company of twenty. In Peutly, everyone in the workspace can do both.
A custom domain without moving up a tier
Walnut lists white-labelling as a paid add-on on Ignite and includes it from Accelerate at $1,550. Peutly includes a custom share domain on Pro at a published $450, with no add-on and no quote.
You can start this afternoon
Walnut’s plans are billed annually, which means a contract. Peutly is 7 days free with no credit card, another 7 once you publish, then a monthly plan you can cancel at the end of the month.
Where Walnut wins
Built for the way large sales organisations actually run demos
Separate editor and presenter roles, demo libraries per segment, InsightsAI on Accelerate, and a Demos API on Scale. If you have a demo-engineering function and twenty AEs who each need a tailored version of the same story, Walnut is designed for exactly that and we are not.
SSO and SCIM
Walnut lists SSO and SCIM as an add-on on Ignite and included from Accelerate. Peutly has neither. If your IT team requires SCIM provisioning, this comparison ends here.
A programmatic surface
Walnut Scale lists a Demos API/MCP. Peutly has outbound webhooks and nothing to call. If you want to generate demos from your own systems, they have the interface.
A track record with enterprise buyers
Walnut has been selling into large organisations for years and has the references, the security posture and the procurement experience that come with that. We are a small founder-run team, and for some buyers that is the wrong answer regardless of the feature list.
Choose Walnut if you have a demo-engineering function, separate editor and presenter roles, and a security review that requires SCIM. Choose Peutly if you want the same clickable-demo outcome for under a quarter of the price, with your whole team included.
Peutly and Walnut, the short answers
If we got a fact about their product wrong, email founders@peutly.com and we will correct it.
Walnut Ignite is $575 a month billed annually for three editor seats. Peutly Starter is $140 a month on annual billing for unlimited users, and Peutly Pro is $360. So Peutly Pro, our tier with analytics, custom domain and webhooks, costs about 61% of Walnut’s entry plan while including everyone on your team.
No. Everyone in the workspace can capture, edit, publish and share. Admin and editor roles exist on Pro and Enterprise for permissions, but they do not cost anything and there is no cap on either.
Partly. Peutly does Google and Microsoft logins, can force SSO for a workspace, supports password-protected demos and an embed domain allowlist, and publishes a responsible-disclosure policy. It does not do SAML, SCIM, audit logs or data residency. If any of those are mandatory, Walnut clears that bar and we do not.
If you run demos across a large sales organisation with tailored versions per segment, and you need an API to generate them, yes. If you want clickable demos on your website and in your deals, you are paying for orchestration you will not use.
Build the same demo in both. See for yourself.
You get 7 days free, and another 7 once you publish your first demo. Build the demo you would actually ship in both tools and let your own funnel data settle it.
