You write the script, Peutly speaks it
This is the honest shape of the voice-over. You type the narration for a step, in your own words and your own tone, and Peutly synthesises the audio. The voice-over itself writes nothing: it will not draft your script, pick your steps or invent a tooltip. It reads what you wrote, and nothing else.

If you would rather it were your voice, record straight from the browser microphone. Trim the start and end, position the bubble where you want it, and it plays with the step.
Or put your face on it
Record a webcam bubble in the editor and it renders as a positionable rectangle, square, circle or bar on top of the replay. The Chrome extension never touches your camera; this happens afterwards, in the editor, when you ask for it.
Or upload what you already have
Already have an audio or video take you like? Upload it. All four sources land in the same narration bubble with the same controls, so you can mix them across one demo.
Four steps, no SE required

Capture
Click the Chrome extension and walk through a flow in your real product. Every click becomes a step, recorded as the page DOM rather than as video.
Write
Open the editor and write the narration for the steps that need it. Not every step does, and Peutly will not invent copy you did not ask for.
Speak
Pick a voice and a language, preview the take, and regenerate until it sounds right. Previews count against your monthly character budget, so the number in settings is the real one.
Ship
Publish to a share link, a custom domain, or an embed on your own site. Peutly handles hosting, theming and analytics.
Your captures never train anyone else's model.
For voice-over, the only thing that leaves Peutly is the narration script you typed, which goes to OpenAI to be turned into speech. Your captured HTML, your analytics and your leads do not. The full list of sub-processors is on our legal pages.
