Moving from Navattic, Storylane or Arcade? Here is what it really takes.
No vendor in this category reads another vendor’s demos, and we are no exception. Switching means recording your demos again. Here is what carries over, what does not, and what the price difference looks like, using each vendor’s own published numbers.
Nothing technical. Everything you learned.
The honest version, so you can plan the move before you start a trial.
Your demo files: no
There is no importer. Demos built in another tool are stored in that tool’s format, and Peutly does not read it. Every demo you move is recorded again with the Peutly Chrome extension.
Your flows and scripts: yes, by hand
The thinking is the expensive part, and it moves with you. Walk the same path you recorded before, then paste in the step text, chapter titles and narration scripts you already wrote.
Screenshots you cannot re-record: yes, as images
If a flow no longer exists in your product, upload an image as a step instead. It will not be clickable HTML, but it keeps the walkthrough complete.
Embeds and links: you swap them
Replace the old embed code on each page with the Peutly snippet, and update links in emails and help articles to the new share URLs. Peutly cannot redirect another vendor’s links.
How long it takes. Recording a flow takes as long as clicking through it once; most of the time goes into rewriting step text and narration, which you can paste from your existing demos.
We build your first demo with you.
Give us access to a test account of your product and we build your first demo with you, then walk your team through Peutly on a call so everyone knows how to edit, share and measure it. Send us the demos you use most, and a founder will tell you what moving them involves before you commit. Email founders@peutly.com.
Four steps, in this order
- Step 1List what is actually in use
Most libraries have a long tail of demos nobody opens. Start with the ones embedded on your site, linked from sales sequences, or in help articles.
- Step 2Re-record each flow
Install the Chrome extension and walk each flow once. Every click becomes a step, and Peutly captures the real HTML of the page on every plan.
- Step 3Rebuild the layer on top
Add step text, chapters, narration, lead forms and CTAs in the editor. Blur or replace anything sensitive. The editor is desktop only.
- Step 4Swap the embeds, then cancel
Replace embed codes and links, check them live, and only then cancel the old tool. Running both for a short overlap is the safe order.
The price difference, from published numbers
Every competitor figure is copied from the vendor’s own pricing page, last read on 22 September 2026. Where a vendor publishes no number, the table says so.

Switching, the short answers
If we got a fact about another product wrong, email founders@peutly.com and we will correct it.
No. There is no automatic import from any other tool. You record each demo again with the Chrome extension, then rebuild the text, chapters and narration in the editor.

Peutly has no SAML SSO or SCIM, no CRM connector, and no public REST API: it forwards events to Google Analytics, Segment or Heap and sends webhooks on Pro. It records web pages in Chrome only, and there is no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Each comparison page lists where the other tool wins.
Re-record your most-used demo first. Then decide.
Move one demo during the trial and compare it with the original. The trial runs 14 days.
