Peutly vs HowdyGo. Here is when each one wins.
HowdyGo and Peutly are the only two tools in this category that put real HTML capture and unlimited users on every plan. Everywhere else, DOM capture sits behind a $450 tier, a $625 tier or an Enterprise contract. That makes this a short shortlist with close prices (HowdyGo is $199 and $499 against our $175 and $450) and a decision that comes down to which handful of features you actually use.
HowdyGo pricing, as HowdyGo publishes it
Every figure below is copied from their own pricing page, last read on 23 September 2026. Where they publish no number, we say so instead of estimating one.
| Plan | Monthly | Seats and what is included |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $199 USD | Unlimited users Unlimited HTML demos and unlimited viewers, 1 collection. No demo analytics, custom domain, password protection or CRM integrations. |
| Pro | $499 USD | Unlimited users Adds unlimited collections, demo analytics, CRM and analytics integrations, the HowdyGo JS SDK, a custom domain and password-protected demos. |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited users Adds enterprise SSO (SAML/SCIM), custom interactive components, feature request priority and support for multiple teams. Sandboxes are an add-on, priced on request. |
The seat maths. Neither product bills per seat, so team size changes nothing on either side. What differs is the base: Peutly is $175 against $199 on the entry plan and $450 against $499 on the tier with analytics, and both discount annual billing.
What each price buys. Peutly captures the real DOM on every plan, from $175 a month, so the demo is your actual interface and stays editable afterwards. At HowdyGo that starts on Starter, and every plan ("Unlimited HTML demos"), at $199/mo, $159 annual. Their cheaper tiers capture screenshots or video, which is a different product at a different price.
The matrix
HowdyGo is an interactive demo platform. Rows marked missing for Peutly are things we genuinely do not do, not things we are about to ship.
| Feature | Peutly | HowdyGo |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan price Peutly is the lower of the two. On annual billing it is $140 against HowdyGo's $159. | $175/mo | $199/mo |
| Price of the tier with analytics Both put demo analytics, a custom domain and password protection on their second tier. Annual: $360 against $399. | $450/mo (Pro) | $499/mo (Pro) |
| Pricing model | Per workspace, flat | Per workspace, flat |
| Unlimited users on every plan Neither product counts editor seats. | ||
| Real HTML capture on every plan Both capture the DOM rather than screenshots, on every tier. In this category that is unusual: most competitors put DOM capture several tiers above their entry price. | ||
| Unlimited HTML demos | ||
| Free trial Both give you 14 days up front. | 14 days | 14 days |
| AI voice-over HowdyGo lists AI voiceovers. Peutly synthesises speech from a script you write; it does not draft the script. | 13 voices, 20 languages | |
| Demo analytics | Pro+ | Pro+ |
| Custom domain | Pro+ | Pro+ |

| CRM integrations HowdyGo lists CRM and analytics integrations on Pro. Peutly has no CRM connector: it forwards events to GA4, Segment or Heap and POSTs webhooks to an endpoint you own. | Pro+ | |

Where Peutly wins
It costs less, on both tiers
$175 against $199 on Starter, and $450 against $499 on Pro. On annual billing it is $140 against $159, and $360 against $399. Pick on features first; if the two fit equally well, ours costs less on every plan and billing term.
Lead capture is on every plan, not an assumption
Peutly puts a form at any step in the demo on Starter as well as Pro, exports captured leads to CSV, and on Pro tells you which step the viewer reached before submitting. HowdyGo does not break out in-demo lead capture on its pricing page, so if that is the mechanism you are buying for, ask them directly before comparing the two numbers.
Video and GIF export out of the same capture
Peutly exports GIF, WebM and MP4 from any demo, at up to 720p on Starter and 1080p on Pro, with annotations included on Pro. That covers the case where the same flow has to go into an email or a social post rather than a link.
Voice-over specifics we are willing to publish
Thirteen voices across twenty languages, with 300,000 characters a month on Starter, a million on Pro and three million on Enterprise. It reads a script you write and does not draft it. HowdyGo lists AI voiceovers without publishing the language count or the allowance, so this is one row where you get more detail from us before buying.
One capture, three outputs
The interactive demo, the link preview image and the GIF, WebM or MP4 all come out of the same recording. Edit the demo and the video re-renders from the same source, so you are not maintaining two assets that drift apart.
Find and replace across an entire replay
Change a product name, a price or a customer name across every step of a demo at once. It is a small feature that decides whether keeping demos current is a five-minute job or an afternoon.
A European team on the other end of the inbox
We are based in Europe. If you sell into European customers, that means the same working hours and the same regulations as you when something needs sorting.
A tighter product surface
Peutly is younger and the surface is deliberately narrower. We ship the things we are sure of. If you want fewer knobs and stronger defaults, that lands differently.
Where HowdyGo wins
CRM integrations on Pro
HowdyGo lists CRM and analytics integrations on its Pro plan. Peutly has no CRM connector at any tier: you get event forwarding to GA4, Segment or Heap, and webhooks someone on your side has to consume. For a team that wants demo activity in Salesforce or HubSpot without building anything, that is a decisive difference at the same price point.
A JavaScript SDK
The HowdyGo JS SDK is on Pro. Peutly has no SDK and no REST API. If you want to control a demo from your own application code, they have an interface and we do not.
SAML and SCIM exist on their ladder
HowdyGo lists enterprise SSO with SAML and SCIM on Enterprise. Peutly does not offer either on any plan, so a security review that requires them ends our conversation and not theirs.
Sandboxes
HowdyGo offers unlimited sandbox environments as an add-on. A sandbox demo pulls from a running instance of your product, which is the most robust answer to demos going stale. Peutly has no equivalent.
A simpler trial
14 days up front, against our 7 plus 7 on publishing. Ours works out the same if you publish, and is worse if you spend the first fortnight getting internal sign-off.
A deeper content library
HowdyGo has published far more use-case pages, comparisons and playbooks than we have. If you learn about a category by reading your way into it, there is more of their material to read.
Distinctive brand voice
HowdyGo's tone is a love-it-or-leave-it thing. If you love it, that is a real reason to pick them. Brand fit matters more than most feature tables admit.
Choose HowdyGo if you need CRM integrations, a JavaScript SDK, sandboxes or SAML. Choose Peutly if you want the lower price, lead capture on every plan, video and GIF export out of the same capture, and a European team on the other end of the inbox.
Peutly and HowdyGo, the short answers
If we got a fact about their product wrong, email founders@peutly.com and we will correct it.
No, more expensive. Peutly Starter is $175 a month against HowdyGo Starter at $199, and Peutly Pro is $450 against HowdyGo Pro at $499. On annual billing the per-month figures are $140 against $159 and $360 against $399. HowdyGo prices checked on their own pricing page.
Yes. Neither product bills per seat on any tier, which makes them unusual in this category. Storylane, Navattic, Arcade, Supademo and Walnut all charge or cap per seat.
Yes, on every plan, which is the other thing that makes this pair unusual. Supademo puts HTML demos on a $450 tier, Storylane on a $625 tier, and Arcade on Enterprise only. Peutly and HowdyGo both include DOM capture at their entry price.
HowdyGo. It lists CRM and analytics integrations on Pro. Peutly has no CRM connector at any tier: it forwards demo events to your own GA4, Segment or Heap property, and POSTs four event types to an endpoint you own.
Lead capture forms at any step on every plan, GIF, WebM and MP4 export up to 1080p from the same capture, find and replace across an entire replay, and published specifics on the voice-over (13 voices, 20 languages, with a monthly character allowance per tier). HowdyGo does not break these out on its pricing page, so confirm with them rather than assuming they are absent.
