Peutly is one of the six tools below, and we compete with Arcade. Their editor and output quality are better than ours.
Why teams look for an Arcade alternative
- 1The ten-user cap. Growth is capped at ten users, and there is no eleventh seat at $50. The next step is a negotiated Enterprise contract.
- 2The custom domain sits on Enterprise. Serving demos from your own domain is an ordinary marketing requirement, and at Arcade it means a contract.
- 3Per-seat costs compound. $50 a user is excellent at two people and $500 a month at ten.
- 4AI credits are metered. 800 credits a month on Growth is about eight minutes of video, which some teams burn through quickly.
The five alternatives at a glance
| Tool | Entry paid plan | Seat terms | Cheapest tier with a custom domain |
|---|---|---|---|
| HowdyGo | $199/mo ($159 annual) | Unlimited users | Pro, $499/mo |
| Supademo | $50/creator/mo ($38 annual) | Per creator | Not published on their pricing page |
| Storylane | $50/mo ($40 annual) | 1 seat, +$40 each | Premium, $1,500/mo |
| Peutly | $175/mo ($140 annual) | Unlimited users | Pro, $450/mo |
| Navattic | Not published | 5 on Base, 10 on Growth | Growth, price not published |
| Stepshots | €19/mo | No per-seat billing | Not offered |
1. HowdyGo: no user cap, and HTML capture at the entry price
This addresses both Arcade complaints at once. There is no user ceiling, because HowdyGo does not bill per seat: $199 a month for Starter and $499 for Pro, unlimited users on both. And where Arcade lists HTML capture under Enterprise only, HowdyGo includes it on every plan. Pro also has the custom domain that costs an Enterprise contract at Arcade.
What Arcade keeps: the polish, the built-in video and generated visuals, and a free tier.
The clearest answer for a team that hit either the ten-user cap or the Enterprise wall.
2. Supademo: the closest per-seat swap
Scale is $50 per creator, the same headline number as Arcade Growth, with no user cap and branching and variables included. Where Arcade meters AI in credits, Supademo bundles features per tier instead. The free plan is considerably more generous: five guided demos against Arcade's one.
The most direct like-for-like at the same price, and it removes the ten-user ceiling.
3. Storylane: if you want depth rather than polish
Starter is $50 a month for one seat with $40 per additional. The real comparison is Growth at $625, which bundles five seats and adds the HTML editor, A/B testing and custom branding. More product than Arcade, less visual polish, and a steeper ladder.
Right if you outgrew Arcade on capability rather than on seats.
4. Peutly: the cheapest published custom domain
Ours. Starter is $175 and Pro is $450, both with unlimited users. Pro includes a custom share domain, which is the single most common reason teams hit Arcade's Enterprise wall. At five users Arcade is $250 and we are $450; at ten users Arcade is $500 and we are still $450; above ten, Arcade has no self-serve answer and we are unchanged.
What Arcade does better: the editor, the default output quality, built-in video and generated visuals, a free tier, and a longer track record. We do not have a free plan and we do not treat video as a first-class format.
Right when the blocker is the user cap or the custom domain. Wrong if video is half of what you produce.
5. Navattic: if the data has to reach your CRM
Navattic lists 25+ integrations from its Base plan including Salesforce and Marketo, and custom domains on Growth. The obstacle is the same one it always is: no published price above the free tier, so the comparison requires a call.
Worth the call if demo engagement needs to be a CRM field rather than a chart.
6. Stepshots: if the spend has to stop
Pro is €19 a month for thirty hosted demos with no seat billing. No custom domain, no lead capture, no narration. It does have a CI check that flags demos broken by a UI change, which is a real advantage over everything else here.
A tenth of the cost, and roughly a tenth of the capability. Sometimes that is the correct trade.
When to stay on Arcade
- You have three or fewer people building demos. At $50 a user, nothing on this list is cheaper for the same quality of output.
- Video is a real part of your output. Arcade treats it as a first-class format with its own credit budget; most competitors, us included, only export video from a demo.
- Output polish is the thing you are judged on. Arcade sets the bar in this category.
- You do not need a custom domain. If demos live on their share links or embedded in your site, the Enterprise wall never comes up.
